THE WRITERS:

Naima Sanowar is a NYC-based Lifestyle and Travel Expert. Her adventurous spirit and creativity is catapulting her blog, career and celebrity to the top of the lifestyle blogger sphere very quickly. Her popularity is growing so fast that she was recently tapped by Haute Living, one of the worlds top luxury media publications to write for the on-line platforms. She is also being approached by several Fourtune 500 brands for cross-promotional opportunities. Naima also holds dear to her heart,  theadventurista.com a blog which she founded in 2010.

Her work is all about sharing simple as well as exceptional human experiences with her readers in the areas of travel, fashion, leisure with family and friends, entertainment and to a lesser extent love and relationships.

Her ever-growing following at theadventurista.com landed her a nomination at Babble Best Mom Blogger and a comfortable spot in the final list. Naima has lived in NYC for close to 20 years, which in itself is a feat of daring; and daring she does as, unbeknownst to her, she brings the sultry,  island-like presence to a Soho House, or the most recent Veuve-Cliquot Polo Match, which she attended and featured as a guest travel and lifestyle writer over at Haute Living NYC.

Everything Naima touches is done with undeniable class with a cheeky adventurous spark in the eye! Whether it is interviewing Reality TV stars like The Novogratz  or scouring the city’s sidewalks to hear inspiring stories from everyday people, she reaches out and appeals to an array of people of all backgrounds. She exhorts crowd mixing and social mingling, bringing everyone together through the Yummy Mummy Brunches started in 2009. Recently working alongside brands like Voli Light Vodka and Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, Le bebe Coo to name a few.

Naima has an uncanny way of making things (blog articles, event hosting, travel, personal goals etc…) light-hearted, effortless and within reach .

Indeed, Naima’s skills expand beyond narrating the lifestyle of hip New Yorker’s as she is also a real estate investor for the past 15 years, event planner and most recently a co-producing stint over at Sony Entertainment TV show Andaaz TV.

More than any accomplishment, the central element to her growing success and appetite for fun adventures revolves around being a wife and a mom.

Naima draws strength and pride from her husband and son whose impact reminds of the proverbial ripple effect. A solid as a rock NY-based nuclear family surrounded by an ever larger wave of kin worldwide who also are guest contributors on her blog. She is the undeniable class, but according to Naima, her man and her boy are “the impossible cool”.

Melissa, aka “mommypoo” started her  blog  http://thepoopofothers.wordpress.com/ after the birth of her second child. Prior to her new venture as a blogger, she was among other things an actress, a drama therapist, an editor, a fundraiser and a non profit communications professional. While some may look upon her professional career path as an unrelated hodge-podge, she prefers to see it as a “tapestry.” Her true calling, however, is writing about her children and her ever ridiculous life as a mother  Born and raised in London, Melissa is a recovering Ivy League graduate and a resident of Brooklyn, NY where she lives with her long-suffering husband (aka “hubby,) their four-and-a-half year old (aka the “boychild”,) 9 month old baby girl (aka “B”), and their cat Viktor.
