Last night I hosted along with Accidental Chic a beauty event for 17 fabulous mums, bloggers and single ladies. Sponsored by the first low calorie vodka Voli Light Vodka and featuring Bobbi Brown make up artist Elizabeth Kieser, B’Cause It’s Mimi body products and yummy cupcakes by Jlvsdesign. I was so excited to organize along with Tiffani @Accidental Chic this intimate event at my home. Spring is finally here and we thought it would be the perfect time to share with some special friends, make-up and beauty trends for Spring 2011.
Elizabeth Kieser is part of an elite group of make up artists hand-selected and trained by Bobbi Brown. Elizabeth works closely with Bobbi Brown, at personal appearances, fashion shows, editorial shoots, seasonal ad campaigns, celebrity events and intensive seasonal trainings. During our hour tutorial on how to apply and which products are the top of this Spring’s make up trends, Elizabeth was so amazing breaking it down to us. I am a self-confessed make-up junkie, even with all the make up I own, I still don’t quite know how to apply properly eye liners, concealer’s . I realized some of my fellow guests also did not know, so we all learnt together. My top three tips from Elizabeth were.
1. Hot lip color for Spring – Cosmic Raspberry by Bobbi Brown
2. Must have eye color for Spring – Peony & Python by Bobbi Brown
3. Bronzer’s should reflect your skin color, enhance your color not mask it.
After our fabulous time with Elizabeth getting make up tips on the parlor floor, we all headed down-stairs to the kitchen for some yummy cupcakes , prepared for us by lovely Jana of Jlvsdesign . The highlight of the night was when The Epicurean Man , pulled his shirt sleeves up and made for all the ladies, the most fabulous martinis and cocktails made from the first ever low calorie vodka, Voli Light Vodka our Beauty Parlor Series sponsor. Voli Light Vodka is the first to offer the first low calorie, delicious fruit and flavored vodkas. Cocktails & Cupcakes, can it get anymore perfect? The night was full of beauty, cocktails, cup-cakes, fabulous ladies and loads of laughter. The Beauty Parlor Series was everything I imagined it would turn out to be. I am posting two of my favorite Voli Light Vodka cocktail recipes below after my photo diary.
