This years New Year’s Eve plans had so much twists and turns. We were scheduled to be in Vegas, but last minute change of plans has kept us in New York City. As much as it would have been fabulous , Vegas for NYE, I am actually quite pleased we are in New York City, and with Karate Boy. He would not have been with us in Vegas, and the party boy that my son is, he would have probably resented me for life for not taking him.
I had to come up quickly with something low key with hints of fabulosity. One of my favorite websites for anything sexy, romantic and fabulous is urbandaddy.com and of course it did not disappoint, I found the perfect New Years eve Adventure. Tomorrow night – New Year’s Eve, The Epicurean Man and I are attending an intimate black tie fiesta at this exquisite restaurant called Bobo in the West Village. The theme is Party Like it’s 1959… “Celebrate New Years eve at Bobo – Live Cuban band, champagne mojitos, and a Cuban feast evoking Havana circa 1959. Black tie attire requested.” For my 40th birthday gala I did a similar theme with a live Cuban band ( check out photos) http://theadventurista.com/archives/1474. I am most excited to have this experience again, and what could be more spectacular than for New Years Eve celebrations. http://bobonyc.com/newyearseve
On Saturday, January 1st 2011, The Epicurean Man, Karate Boy and I, are going once again to the Odeon in the City, for New Year’s day brunch. This time we have invited my lovely friend Cindy, and her family. Cindy and I knew each-other growing up in Trinidad. Karate Boy and Michael , Cindy’s son, will have the most fun I am sure, they both share a love for dining out at restaurants.http://theodeonrestaurant.com/
