A Christmas Caroling Adventure

Christmas is my favourite time of the year!!!! No seriously, I love Christmas with all my heart and soul. My love affair began as a child growing up in Trinidad, along with my brothers and many cousins, we spent the majority of our Christmas holidays in Siparia with my maternal grand-mother. My granny always made it so special for everyone, and the way Christmas is in Trinidad is very much like how Thanks-giving is in America. It truly is all about spending time with family and friends, eating, laughing enjoying all the holiday cheer. This has carried over with me now that I reside in America, I never allow myself to get caught up with all the manic Christmas shopping and worry over what to buy who. Karate Boy has also blossomed into a Christmas addict like his mum. We spend wonderful times singing carols on our daily morning walks to school.

Tonight Karate Boy and I went caroling with 20 strangers, though we felt like fast friends with the common bond of celebrating the holiday season with songs. We all gathered in a magical garden at 6.30, prepared for everyone was delicious hot chocolate and yummy Christmas cookies. We started our caroling with Jingle Bells, and Karate Boy  sang aloud, feeling proud he knew all the words to the song. I had such a lovely time , sharing my Christmas joy with Karate Boy and many others tonight on our caroling adventure. I hope you enjoy the photographs, as always I do not use flash but was able to get some pictures that seemed to reflect the magical time we had tonight.
