This past year I discovered two hidden talents I never knew I had… writing and an eye for photography. Both are self taught , though I have my wonderful cousin Kirstin http://www.flickr.com/photos/kirstinmckee/ who is an amazing photographer as my mentor. Kirstin lives across the pond, London to be exact. We communicate via my Blog ( she is also a contributor) as well as on Face-book and I learn so much from her. Most recently, she has open my eyes to the wonder of Bokeh http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bokeh and this past week about POV – point of view, explained so wonderfully on the Mortal Muses- and the next theme is… down low. Another dear friend of mine Anna, an extraordinary photographer http://www.annacampanelli.com/ has also taken me under her wings. Most technical things she tries to teach me sounds gibberish, she always manages to simplify it enough to get me to understand one or few things.
Here are a few photographs I took the past few days in the neighborhood of my attempt at bokeh, point of view and flare.

Good for you! The image of jaden is great and now I understand his willingness to pose.
Thanks Anna, you are so lovely and patient with me.
