Yesterday I had another Wild Wednesday. In the morning Karate Boy and I met up with a few kiddies and mummy’s for a play-date at Fort Greene park for their FREE kids concert series www.fortgreenepark.org . It was off to see THE ROZZ AND VAL SHOW . It was a beautiful morning, gone was the intense humidity we had suffered the past week, replaced by cooler but welcomed 76 degree weather.
Glorious day indeed to rock out with my fellow mummy friends and Karate Boy’s playmate’s. Picnic style, we had our usual good times. The mum’s talked about our planned summer adventure’s, the kids danced, searched for insects and frolicked to their heart’s content.
After our fabulous, free , fun play-date at Fort Greene park, we headed home. I was able to get some work done before running off to the hair salon, for a much needed hair conditioner/blow-out/cut. You know how we mums are famous for taking care of everyone but ourselves. Feeling shiny and new, I only had one hour to get dressed to head to Manhattan with The Epicurean Man to attend Edeyo’s Third Anniversary Fundraiser event , hosted by actress Michelle Rodriguez. It took place at www.theboweryhotel.com a luxurious boutique hotel in the lower east-side. We met our dear friends, Peter-Paul, Denene, Dorka and Jason. Glamour, beautiful people, sensational cocktails and the real reason everyone was there, to support another dear friend Unik and his dedicated mission to help fight poverty and educate the children of Haiti. It was a magical night and a perfect ending to my Wild Wednesday.
