Cup-cakes, flowers and my internal thoughts.

Post image for Cup-cakes, flowers and my internal thoughts.

The last couple of days I have been in a shitty mood. Very few people would be able to tell though, you know the whole  ” I  must keep the cheery , energetic front at all times when you are a Mum.”  I will not get into what has caused my biorhythms to take a dip into the low numbers. It just did and after maybe one whole night staying up worrying, only to be awaken by a flared up face of  a ” break-out” ugggg. I decided today to try something different. To just smile.

Manic Mondays and as always must keep it moving. So after working on some fun events, to throw for the next few yummy mummy soiree’s. I decided to treat myself to something decadent, after a few hours toiling on my lap-top. Off to Urban Vintage, my go to place for solace and loads of smiling folks and well, cup-cakes. It all worked,  and when I left Urban Vintage, I could feel those biorhythm numbers climbing back up to a reasonable digit. As I was walking  home, I spotted some pretty flowers and stopped to take a photograph, all while enjoying the littlest pleasures that makes one smile.

Lovely cupcake picture, Naima! Wow! You are obviously getting on very well with that new 20mm/f1.7 lens — you have taken some brilliant pictures in the past few days!

Thanks Tom, any compliment coming from you and Kirstin…my two mentors in photography…well it gives me some confidence. I am still intimidated with these lens and camera, since I am still learning the Canon

It is such a pleasure now being able to take this camera on locations with me now, and not use my shitty black-berry camera. I am having much fun to with setting up the best scenarios for certain shots. It taps into my creativity side..

Still such a long, long way to go, a fellow mumm friend who is a photographer, is going to spend a day to show me the ropes with my Canon.. She only uses Canon.
