Evening gardening

It was a beautiful day in London today. Weeks ago I booked tickets for the anime festival to see Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva. We couldn’t decide whether to go or stay and enjoy the time in our garden, but eventually we decided to go. The film was epic and Japanese and I had to read the subtitles out loud to Miles throughout. Afterwards, we wandered along the South Bank, and enjoyed the vibe. Earlier today I had taken a friend who doesn’t own a car to the garden centre, to buy earth and plants. I had come away with a few lettuce plants. We got home from the South Bank after 7, it was still mild and I decided to plant out the lettuce. Before I knew it, all the neighbouring children were piling in and in that gorgeous evening light, were planting the precious leaves into pots.

I wish I had a green thumb. Hubby would love for me to plant out tomatoes. As long as it is hanging somewhere else and not in the sexy back yard hahah… We are mess.

Jaden loves planting, may just have to find a creative way to plant. Love the photo by the way.

I am trying to learn how to garden from my mother, who gave us this wonderful garden. She truly does have a green thumb. So unlike me. But I hope to learn.
I don’t give those lettuce plants long….
